"An actor's job is to live truthfully under imagined circumstances. This requires an uninterrupted access to their inner well of emotions. Regretfully, most actors never grasp the critical importance that breath and voice play in achieving that access. Mr. Harpster's intense passion and knowledge of voice is, in my honest opinion, unsurpassed. He goes far beyond the fundamental mechanics, and integrates the exercises and lessons into an actor's toolbox so it becomes part of an organic process. After all my years as an actor, I am overjoyed for having found Mr. Harpster. In a short time, my work with him has already borne fruit. I would highly recommend him to any actor serious about their craft. --Vince Bandille Actor New York and Regional Theatre "Few professors get trained in techniques for public speaking. Even though I had years of teaching and speaking experience, I was finding my voice strained at the end of an hour or two of lecturing to larger classes. Bruce Harpster asked about my particular class schdule, the room, and my habits for preparing. I learned that I was doing some things properly but that there were many aspects of speaking that I had never known about. Since my training sessions with Bruce, I have become aware of my own physical readiness to speak on a given day. I have improved my lecturing style a great deal and seldom feel in danger of straining my voice." --Full Professor and Lecturer Rutgers University Department of Sociology SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY SERVICES ACADEMIIC PERFORMANCE SERVICES ACCENT AND DIALECT SERVICES CONTACT FORM CONTACT US |
